Slot 36 Summary

About, in brief

I started in a hosting support queue in 2011, on the tickets where the site was already down. Then I spent seven years running my own hosting company, where sales, the firewall and the 3am pager were all the same person. Most of my work now is moving accounts at volume, on nights when a thousand of them have to land before morning.

What I have built and run

Two tools, one kind of client work, and the track record behind all of it.

Slot 28 Private tooling In service

Multi-panel migration toolkit

My own migration tooling. It moves whole hosting accounts between cPanel, DirectAdmin and Plesk, email included, and catches the things the built-in importers get wrong.

The importers that ship with each panel handle the easy path and go quiet about the rest. This toolkit counts what is on the old server before anything moves, repairs the archive before import, and reconciles the counts on both sides afterwards. It stays private: it is what I run jobs with, not a product. The write-ups below show what it catches.

  • cPanel, DirectAdmin and Plesk, any direction, whole server or one account
  • Finds the missing addon-domain setting before the import, not after
  • Converts mailbox formats ahead of export so no mail is lost
  • Message counts checked folder by folder after the move
  • Proprietary
  • Bash
  • cPanel / WHM
  • DirectAdmin
  • Plesk
  • imapsync
  • MySQL
  • DNS

EasycPanel

A script that sets up and secures a brand new cPanel server in one pass, instead of forty commands typed by hand.

Every new cPanel server needs the same list of decisions, and doing it by hand is how you eventually skip one. EasycPanel runs the list. It is open source because the checklist is not the valuable part; knowing which defaults are wrong for your server is.

  • Bare install to secured server in one guided run
  • AlmaLinux and CloudLinux 8/9. Apache, Nginx or LiteSpeed
  • Firewall, web application firewall, SSH, PHP, database, updates

WHMCS themes and hosting tools

Custom billing and signup pages for hosting companies, so the part where customers pay looks like the rest of the company and is easier to get through.

A hosting company spends real money on its website, then hands customers to a stock billing panel at login. I build the customer area and the signup flow together on the brand that already exists, on top of the WHMCS templates rather than replacing them, so an update does not undo the work.

  • Customer area and signup form designed as one thing
  • Built on the WHMCS template system, so updates stay routine
  • Signup reordered around when people are ready to buy
  • No page builders and no heavy theme payload
  • Client work
  • WHMCS
  • PHP
  • Smarty
  • Laravel
  • Accessibility

Slot 16 Track record 2011 to present

Fifteen years of production servers

Shared boxes, VPS fleets and dedicated hardware. More than 5,000 Linux servers and more than 10,000 clients.

Mostly that number is a statement about how many ways the same stack can break. Full disks that were really full inode tables. Mail queues flooded by one compromised contact form. It is also why the guides here are specific: every edge case is one I was called in for.

  • 5,000+ Linux servers managed
  • 10,000+ clients served worldwide
  • 15 years, support queue to migration specialist
  • Shared, reseller, VPS and dedicated
  • In service
  • Linux
  • cPanel / WHM
  • DirectAdmin

  • CloudLinux

Slot 08 Client work 2 families · 5 services

What you can hire me for

Five things in two families, all of them work I do myself. Every one starts at a published number and ends at a fixed one.

Something custom? If it runs on a Linux box, it is in scope. I also build with Laravel and WordPress, and work across managed platforms like Cloudways.

Tell me what needs moving

How many sites, which host you are on now, and what cannot go offline. That is enough for a straight answer about what it takes. No sales call.
